FAQ: Pax Pamir Reprint
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

I own the 1st printing of Pax Pamir: Second Edition. What are these replacement tokens all about?

The biggest different between print runs is going to be the tokens. The first edition had varnished, engraved tokens and the Reprint (2nd printing) will have silk-screen ruler tokens. This change is for usability, as the silk screen tokens will be more easily recognizable across the table, as well as for practicality as the bulk of our missing part orders from the first print run were because the tokens. A silk screen print will make them stand out much better on the table. They will be the same size as the first printing.

The replacement tokens will come with a few updated cards that have fixed typos as well as a couple Wakhan Reference cards for Ricky Royal’s FAQ and Errata.

What else is changing between print runs?

Well, the first printing did have some typos in the flavor text on a few cards . Nothing game changing like an action icon being misplaced, but it is something that we’re fixing with this 2nd printing. There are also some added solo rule errata. We will be bundling all of these fixes with our replacement tokens that you can order for $5.

Does this print run of Pax Pamir have the replacement tokens?

Yes, every copy we make for this 2nd printing will have the new silk-screened ruler tokens. Only people that own the 1st printing will want the replacement tokens if they are not satisfied with their engraved ruler tokens.

How do I add coins to my pledge?

Simply add the $ amount of the add-on to the pledge. Your total pledge sum will become a credit in our Pledge Manager Backerkit that you will allocate to the different add-ons.

Can I pledge $1 to get access to the Pledge Manager?

You can pledge for $5 at the replacement tokens level to get access to the Pledge Manager. That $5 pledge will become a credit that you can either apply to replacement tokens or rather, to a copy of Pax Pamir. We want as many folks Pledging during the campaign as possible so we can have a better sense of how many to produce once the campaign wraps up.

What is this Pledge Manager you speak of?

Our Pledge Manager, Backerkit, will send you an email a couple weeks after the campaign is over asking you to allocate your pledge for your order! You’ll take your total pledge amount and select how you will want to split it up. All of your rewards will then have a shipping cost calculated based on your shipping address which will be charged once the Backerkit period closes.

How does shipping work?

Unlike our first print run, there are not flat shipping rates per region. Instead, you pay the shipping cost based on how large and heavy your order is. EX: If you want a single order in the US, expect costs to be $10 to ship 1 copy, 2 copies about $15, shipping 3 copies about $18. The final shipping costs will be calculated in our Backerkit Pledge Manager according to your final order.

Small orders, like those just for just coins or replacement tokens, will be a fraction of the regional rates. EX: for a single order or coins, shipping to the UK will be around $7 or less.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
